Carlos Pineda

Eric Vo
Eric Vo began producing electronic music in December 2018 after several prior years of experience playing piano. Originally having released house, future bass, and melodic dubstep tracks, Eric has been exploring more pop-oriented music, combining acoustic & organic sounds with electronic elements. When he’s not working on his next song, Eric’s pursuing his computer science passion at Cypress College or photographing the world around him.

A.J. Ugliano
A.J. Ugliano (He/Him) is an English major and a writer. He has been published as a weekly reporter for a Los Angeles based publication and is currently focusing on more creative endeavors. While not typically a poet, he has been expanding into that realm, inspired by the works of Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, Charles Bukowski, and Allen Ginsberg.

Apathy Front
Apathy Front (he/they), a 22-year-old transgender, queer, theistic existentialist, and Christian mortuary science student, passionately advocates for death care through poetry. Their verses delve into themes of death, disease, love, grief, transformation, and hope, aiming to reshape perspectives on mortality. Combining love, romance, and the macabre, their work offers a profound reflection on life’s complexities and the human experience.

Ceci Ramirez
Ceci Ramirez is a self-taught writer with a passion for the arts. When she doesn’t have a pen and paper in front of her, she more than likely can be found with paints and paintbrushes instead. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats and creating other art pieces in different forms of media.

Deyanira Vielma
Deyanira Vielma writes pieces that walk the fine line between melancholy and deep introspection through a feminist lens. Her work has been featured in SLEAZE magazine, The Queer Gaze Magazine, and Daughter Zine.

Marlo Malies
Marlo Malies is in the Creative Writing Program. Previously, she received her AA at Cypress College and went to Cal State Fullerton for a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development. She loves writing poetry and writing in her prayer journal. Both forms of writing are therapeutic for her. She is president of College Christian Fellowship, a club here at Cypress College. She loves walking around Knott’s Berry Farm and watching Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies with her family.

Yuna Song
Yuna Song (she/her) is currently an English major at Cypress College. She enjoys writing poems when the creative juices start flowing, which is usually at 3 AM. Yuna loves the mango green milk tea with boba and star jelly from GongCha as well as her mom’s kimchi jjigae!

Michelle Mena-Gomez
Michelle Mena-Gomez completed her AA-T in English at Cypress College in 2023, and transferred to Cal State Long Beach for the Spring 2024 semester to pursue her Bachelors Degree in English Literature. She ultimately aspires to become an academic/special collection librarian. In her free time, she enjoys crochet, reading, writing and playing cozy games.

Christian Lopez
Christian Lopez (he/they) is an aspiring art teacher or storyboard artist for Disney- he’s still deciding. He’s always had a love for Disney from the movies, music and shows to the parks, which is where you can find him most often. They love listening to new music, playing video games, exploring new art mediums, and spending time with their friends. As a current Puente student at Cypress College, he’s really enjoying his first year of college and hopes to make many more fun memories with new people.

I am 19 years old. I’m an English major that enjoys reading, writing and painting. I love music and I have taken up photography. I am hoping to be an English teacher and to some day publish books of my own.

Jacqueline Farahbod
Jacqueline Farahbod majors in Health Science. When she is not studying, you can often find her working as a nurse assistant, biking, exploring pastry shops, drawing or listening to music. A fun fact about her is that she is a cat magnet!

Jasmine Hernandez
Jasmine Hernandez (She/They) is a self-taught artist from Norwalk, California. A Mortuary Science student at Cypress College by day and a mixed-media artist by night means sleep is usually elusive; but when the trade-off is paid back in inspiration hours, who can complain really? She is an individual who values experiences in all forms and is always looking for ways to improve (or ruin) her craft.

Kelly Donath
Kelly Donath (they/them) is an individual fascinated by the Arts. Among their favorites are music, prose and literature, photography, painting, digital painting, sculpting… and the list of mediums goes on. Having earned their Associate’s in Arts in the Spring of 2022, they continue to explore both traditional and digital painting with the hopes of improving their skillsets and potentially establishing an online shop to sell digital prints of their works.

Leroy Espinosa
Leroy Espinosa, enjoys the outdoors and capturing the most simplistic but beautiful moments in life in anyway he can. He hopes to one day own a ranch in the great state of Montana one day to continue exploring and capturing the beauty this world has to offer.

Mikayla Petullo
Mikayla Petullo (they/she) is a Studio Art major at Cypress College who is passionate about creating visual art. She is currently experimenting with different art mediums and styles in her various art classes, and is set to transfer to CSULB in Fall of ’24 as a Studio Art major to continue on her art journey. She is taking her time enjoying her college experience, building up her skills to become more professional and experiencing her passions.
